Case Study: Yenser Family History
I'm a big genealogy buff and have managed to accumulate piles and piles of photos and other family history information over the years. I have many relatives interested in genealogy as well but it's a nightmare trying to get copies of everything distributed to anyone interested.
It occurred to me that if we had some sort of central repository where we could both store and share this information then we'd accomplish a lot more than everyone working on their own.
This family history project, although created by me, is a product of the research of many other people and serves to immortalize our family's legacy and keep tradition and knowledge alive.
The site is constantly growing and where we have the information, there is a biography both of the surname itself and the family member, vital statistics, photos, personal letters (scanned images and transcriptions) and stories about the individual, footnotes and all.
